basura

ahhhh tuesday.. an entire day of bumming around. no school.. NO WORK. speaking of work, i had my interim review with colleen, our manager, yesterday and got me a RAISE. hells yea. and its not the year end raise that im talkin about yall. saweeet. yes thanks to calgary, the land of many many opportunites haha. ok we all got raises and its cuz of inflation, alberta is booming like crazy. uhh an example, real estate properties' value increase at a rate of (close to) 10k/mo. so yea im extremely happy. as soon as i left colleens office tanya automatically asked me about my raise. im sorry to say this here, but being aware of how conniving tanya gets, i refused to tell her. thats the one thing i can not stand about work, (which i realize ull find everywhere). its the politics, and now, its getting more n more divisive. i really can not wait to leave this job. note to self: i dont want to see myself doing the same thing at the same place next year.
my dads been borrowing my laptop nonstop (hells yea i spit rhymes, haha) to watch tfc. its been agesssss since ive watched tfc. a part of me misses it, but another couldnt care less. im sorry to say that most of it is pure garbage (give me a break, im actually trying to say this as less-contrived as possible). more about garbage... in suffering from american idol withdrawal jus like many of u r. now that ai, top model, amazing race r gone..wut do we do? well for the meantime its project catwalk. its the brit's version of my beloved project runway. only i despise liz hurleys catchphrase: fashion has no mercy. gahh. its amusing (refering to the welsh chick), luv the accent. ooh and tennis clay season is almost ending, meaning its the french open, luv luv, and that grass season is coming, more luv. CAN NOT WAIT FOR WIMBY! so heres an eye candy to tie this all together..

pursuit

i am currently on chapter 6 of my new read. i somehow snuck some reading time in my VERY VERY short lunch break. its not that bad at all. very funny and so realistic. im sure every shopaholic would agree and nevertheless, relate. theres this bit about beckys habit of itemizing her entire outfit as tho its for magazine. funny CUZ I DO. im starting to think that this book is sumsort of a foreshadowing, uhm now that i said it, i really am hoping that this book ends in a very good way.

so now im back to my laptop, as promised heres my brothers departed civic.. note: photo wus taken 2 yrs ago, so if u must, picture it with new rims, newer spoiler, a body kit with the existing sideskirts, and a small small dent that i left on the right door. (and if ur wondering if thats our house, no its not). may his 2000 civic si coupe rest in peace.
big sigh* cuz i bought this car with my brother, i still say ouch. neways, he got his rental today, its a blue pursuit, hahaha. he despises it, cant blame him.

today, i caught oprah. ok i admit that im hooked on the show. it wus about their visit to aushwitz death camp with elie wiesel. ive seen tons of documentaries and movies about the holocaust, made tons of reports about it, but never have i seen it through the eyes of a survivor. its awakening. elie wiesel, a nobel peace price honoree, wus so expressive, every single word he said wus meaningful, i can not wait to read his book, Night.

may long weekend re-cap

so ok, i can not wait any longer and i jus have to get meself some new blush. i found one from the red earth line, and apparently it has the same manufacturer as bobbi brown n dior(which btw, is my all time fave makeup brand). so i picked up their blush palette in peachy pleasure. screw dior, this wus a bargain for 27 dollars.

i really dont kno wuts all the rage about chiklits. ive never bothered, till today. this afternoon, my lito sis and i went to a nearby starbux for our afternoon drink, as we always do every other afternoon as we wait for eric to finish therapy(she n eric r both fixated to anything cold most esp. thier banana coconut frapuccino, and yes all drinks r decaf, ok), back to my story.. so i wus looking for a new book to read, i stumbled upon sophie kinsela's confessions of a shopaholic. now ive seen and heard about this book for ages, but always thought its jus all hype. so i picked it up sat down and started to read it. and i say, after the introduction and the next couple pages (ie. letters regarding the protagonist's overdraft) i simply can not convince myself to put it down.

ooh and yea, i have to talk about my long weekend. nothing exciting happened, well audrey and norrin came over sunday night for some drinks n movies. but before that.. friday night (well technically it wus saturday morning)my brother got into a car accident. i wus already asleep, when my parents woke me up at about 2 oclock. they usually never do, so it mustve been sumthing really important. thank God, and really i deeply thank God, that no ones hurt. hes in perfect conditon, considering his car wus badly hit. its a write off. i guess he wus trying to do a left turn on a yellow light when a mustang (who he thought wus goin slow) tried to beat the light struck him. ive never seen my brother shaken, and he wus, he kept saying that with out his seatbelt on, it couldve been a very different story. so for now, hes car-less, so i occasionally drop him off/pick him up, which i absolutely do not mind since he showed me the same courtesy when i wus car-less, hehe. hes now looking for a new car, i guess hes wanting a prelude, but he says he still misses his old baby. he used to have a civic si, in silver, and not toolong bought some new rims to go along with it, too bad its all gone.

guess wut guess wut..its FRIDAY

so... ive finally seen THE DA VINCI CODE. i luvd it, i prolly do bcuz i luvd the book. i actually like the book a whole lot more. thats the thing with movies like this, the movie jus cant be as good as the book, seems like its jus physically impossible. i expected more but i dont feel disappointed at all. tom hanks, who i adore, wus great, but not as sharp as i would imagine langdon to be. audrey toutou (sp?), which lastname i adore (pronounced as tahttoo) looked fab, i jus thought she couldve done better. ian mcallen, wus of course, brilliant, the most believable IMO, i can not imagine neone else perfectly suited as sir leigh. but hands down to paul bettany, who stole the show... sexiest psycho ever. lol. ultimately they couldve used a better director, they jus didnt capture the book all that well. but.. it still is pretty darn entertaining.

went and did some shopping, and i picked up a new cologne...dior jadore summer, i wus gona get the new stella mcartney, but i find it similar to armani code, which i already have so i went with dior. and itll be jus perfect for the season. then i saw this im dying to get it, but see, its 50 bux..and i really really have to save up (note, how i carefully came up to this thinking, after i spent 85 for a bottle of perfume).

wut i wore today... black leggings, blue shirtdress from lechateau, flipflops, white sienna kooba purse, and teal pashmina

mami's dia

it wus momas day today!! my mom luvd every second of it, so did i. i got her an tommy bahama watch (cuz shes been beggin for it), the one with the black leather straps and mother of pearl face..similar to this -->
. my dad, surprisingly put so much effort into his. i meant no offense. but hes jus the i-dont-show-too-much-emotion type of guy, very laidback. he got her pearl earings cuz she jus lost her old ones. neways, he also bought her salmon pink roses, 3 dozens of them. my mom, as u can imagine, still cant stop gushing. the cutest thing wus, yesterday at work my dad left me a voicemail. which he never usually does when im at work. he wus like, i forgot to get her a card, buy me one and ill pay u back, and make everyone sign it ok, ooh and dont forget to hide the card. lols. hes such a nerd. lito eric made her some bath salts and lito andrea made this craft thingie that ur spose to hang, they were so cute.

then we went to church, we had a great service. pastor jamal made a very interesting sermon, he wus really really good, hope to see and hear more of him at our church.

right after, wus lunch. due to lack of reservations we ended up for some dim sum. still yumm. we were having a good time but this lady from across the room started to wave at me. a client. i might sound pretentious, but i really do not like it when people recognize me as the 'girl who works at the bank'. they appear every place imaginable, u name it. ctrain, school cafeteria, library, malls, highways, gas stations, parking lots, clubs, everywhere. and i always feel obligated to be nice and polite to all of them. ergo..i have to share this bit. julia, my coworker, whos been with the bank for almost 20 yrs might be the most famous rockstar slash banker ever. on her way to portugal, she had to make a short stop to berlin, and yes, there she found people screaming her name. and u bet, they r bank clients. lols its crazy i kno.

wut i wore today...

star fish fruit

this day, i say, counts as one of the busiest ive had..

... after phonecalls made back and forth, i finally had my comm290 switched to correspondence. im jus so greatful that i didnt have to pay another $400 to do all these sht. TED LOBLEY is the man yall. he wus tough but i really dont mind cuz he jus saved me some major bucks.

... my lito brother wus sick. in the middle of my 10 min. nap the school called and asked me to pick him up. that really doesnt bother me. but...

... as i wus to step out, i noticed 2 men working on our driveway (the house wus finished jan, so its been 5 months i kno). i tried to talk to man number 1, he answered, but in french. i wus aggravated, so i turned to man number2, he didnt seem to know wut to do cuz they were already in the middle of it (my car wus still in the garage.) ok so neways we figured some things out and i wus out in no budges.

... i got my first threading appointment, finally. threading, as the name pertains is a method used to yank hairs out of the roots with twists of cotton thread. amount of pain, is about as much as that of waxing, being my pain treshold is pretty tolerable, so not much of a difference there. but this one only took me about 5 mins. comapred to about half an hour of waxing. so all in all, results are great and for $12 (including the tip), its a very good deal. will be saying goodbye to waxing for good.

... around the midafternoon, i thought about Bank of Montreal, they havent called me yet. very dissappointing. so i tried to sneak some nap time in, fell asleep for like 15 mins. and the phone rang, it wus linda from BMO, goody. she told me that i got the job and my training starts may 15th, which is monday. fk. her offer's not that great considering my minimum expectation wus about $1 more. im dissappointed. now i really dont kno if i shd take it or not. i will have to talk to colleen, my manager as soon as i can. im in crossroads. and i really needed to talk to sumbody sane.

... i met norrin for a small chat. she undestands me, and in times like this, she makes sense and opinions in all honesty. but im still not at peace. i really have to see colleen.

... and a bunch of other things happened, which are too insignificant to mention, so i wont. well ok except this one, my lito brother asked me if i kno any other fruit that starts with an S except for strawberry, and i really cant think of any. i dont kno why the question, but he wus pretty serious about i. then all of a sudden a lightbulb-flashing-proud-moment, hes like - oh i know, star fish fruit, star..fi...fruit..eeehhh? it wus funny.

Countdown to the The Da Vinci Code film worldwide release: 9 Days 2 Hrs 17 Min 12 Sec

i really can not wait. i havent felt anything like this towards a movie. i already got myself some tickets, and have everything planned out for the big day. im still wodering if they will be doing angels n demons, jus cuz tom hanks is still sporting his langdon-hair. i really hope they do. gosh, i do sound like a geek, dont i>?
